The historical link
between yoga and Tantra
Yoga and Tantra have always been close.
Both are paths of transformation.

The “yoga of sex”
Tantra is sometimes called “the yoga of sex.”
This expression is actually reductive, as Tantra is not limited to sexuality.
It is a complete spiritual path that includes meditation, breathwork, rituals and energy practices.
However, it is true that some tantric practices, such as tantric massage, use sexual energy as a force of transformation. In this approach, desire is not rejected. It becomes an energy that can nourish awareness and presence.
This is why some gay men who are interested in yoga later discover Tantra.
