In fact, most participants tell us they experienced a mixture of curiosity, excitement and uncertainty before attending their first retreat.
Over the years, I have noticed that the same questions come up again and again.
"Do I need experience?"
"What if I know nothing about Tantra?"
"What if I feel uncomfortable with my body?"
"What if I am shy?"
These are all completely normal concerns.
Do I Need Experience?
No.
Many participants join Men’s Hearts having never attended a retreat, practiced Tantra or explored any form of spirituality.
Our retreats are designed to welcome both complete beginners and experienced practitioners.
Everyone participates at their own pace.
What If I’m Not Comfortable With My Body?
Many men arrive carrying insecurities about their bodies.
One of the surprising gifts of Tantra is discovering that connection matters far more than appearance.
Our retreats are not spaces of performance, comparison or judgment.
They are spaces of acceptance, presence and authentic connection.
Is Nudity Mandatory?
No.
Some practices may involve nudity when relevant to the exercise, but participation is always a personal choice.
At Men’s Hearts, one principle remains constant:
You can always do less.
Never more.
Consent, boundaries and personal choice are fundamental to everything we do.
Am I Too Young or Too Old?
Age is rarely the important factor.
Curiosity, openness and willingness to explore matter much more.
Participants often tell us they appreciate the richness that comes from sharing experiences across generations.
Is a Gay Tantra Retreat Sexual?
This is probably the most common question.
The answer is that Tantra includes much more than sexuality.
Our retreats explore meditation, personal growth, emotional connection, creativity, brotherhood, conscious touch and embodied awareness.
While intimacy is part of the journey, the purpose is not sexual performance.
The purpose is connection.
At Men’s Hearts, we create spaces where gay and queer men can explore themselves and others in a respectful, conscious and heart-centred environment.
All retreats are open to international participants and are facilitated in both French and English, with translation available whenever needed.
If something in you feels curious, even alongside fear, perhaps that curiosity deserves to be listened to.
Sometimes the most meaningful journeys begin with a single step.
Tantrically,
